acepio brings the technology and regulated services behind the account together in one platform. This page explains which company provides each part.
Who provides the service#
acepio is a financial technology platform, not a bank. Acepio LLC provides technology services for the intermediation and orchestration of the services available through the platform. It does not provide regulated payment services or hold customer funds.
Payment services are provided by Unified Transact LLC, a limited liability company duly organized in the State of Montana, United States of America, and authorized to provide money transmission services subject to its registration with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a Money Services Business under registration number 31000321450031.
Unified Transact LLC may provide money transmission, foreign exchange dealing and prepaid access services. This includes payment services, exchanges between currencies and virtual assets that are not securities, and holding money or payment instruments for future transactions. In addition, it cooperates with other licensed partners to issue dedicated account details to customers and provide payment services in other countries.
How your money is held#
Acepio LLC does not receive or hold customer funds. Money is held by Unified Transact LLC or by another licensed partner responsible for the relevant payment service. The provider responsible for a transaction holds and moves those funds under the rules that apply to its licence or registration.
